We talked about the company’s activities, values and objectives with Almaş aluminium Chairman Mustafa Dilbaz, which has come a long way in a short time and is one of the rising values of the sector.
Could you briefly explain your company and field of activity?
ALMAŞ ALÜMINUM started to serve in 5000 m2 closed area in Ankara / Sincan ASO 2-3 Organized Industrial Zone in 2017 and is a factory established to add value to the sector with an innovative spirit.
Our company; For more than 5 years, it has been carrying out its wholesale aluminum sales experience to the next level and produces aluminum profiles by using up-to-date extrusion technology in the supply of aluminum profiles for all sectors. Our factory has 1 5 ”1100 Ton Aluminum Extrusion Press and 1 Tunnel Oven Electrostatic Powder Coating Plant.
Our annual of production capacity in Aluminum Profile is 3.600 tons. The annual painting capacity of our Electrostatic Powder Coating Plant is 3000 tons.
Our primary goal is to give importance to quality at every stage of production and to keep customer satisfaction at the highest level. For this purpose, a quality control unit has been established within our organization. Every product coming out of the production line is controlled by the quality control unit.
Our target; is to carry the ALMAŞ ALUMINUM brand to the top with the importance we attach to quality and innovation.
Could you give information about the products and features that your company has presented to the market?
In the aluminum profiles we have produced, our primary sector is the mechanical curtain systems sector. Our production is mainly in this direction. We use first class raw materials with 6063 code in our products. We use Akzo NOBEL brand paint as opposed to the non-standard paints used in the market when painting our profiles.
What kind of improvement do you observe in the perspective of people’s safety and innovation with the developing technology?
Technology has become a reality of our lives now. Using technology in every area of our lives has become an obligation now. However, this obligation is a change that has positive effects in order to make our life easier. In this context, we are developing our production process by using current technologies in our factory. We are very pleased to serve our customers in this direction.
What are the place and advantages of the curtain systems in our lives?
Curtain is one of the most important materials of our life. No matter how beautiful you furnish a house, if you make the last point without putting curtains, the house will have a flat look. The curtain is the most important signature on the decoration. However, the mechanical system curtains, which are included in our lives rather than the classical curtains, offer us many innovations both as decor and as convenience. What would you like to say about your goals and activities for 2020-2021? How do you evaluate the developments in the coming period? What are your expectations?
As we started this year, we had set your goals high. Because in the past two years, our country and the world have faced serious economic problems. Our beginnings in 2020 had been a glimmer of hope that we could reach the high tonnage that we targeted. However, as you know, the world and we had to fight with Corona pandemic at the beginning of March. Unfortunately, we thought that we could not reach our goals this year. However, contrary to what is believed, works have increased and an incredible demand has been created in the market. We encountered serious product demands of our domestic and international customers. As of the end of July, we filled the tonnage volume that we envisaged in our year-end target. In this context, we have made a new extrusion plant agreement, which we will finish the installation in late 2021. Our capacity in our new factory will be around twice our current capacity. In addition to this, anodizing coating will be put into service at our facility. The investments we will make are a sign of trust in our country. Because our country needs such industrial investments. With the new facility we will establish, our number of employees will increase to 150 people.
Could you briefly tell us about the positive or negative effect of CORONA virus on your business and company?
We would wish that such a sick disease would not haunt our country and our world. Unfortunately, we faced this disease. Everything comes from Allah by acting with the motto and of course by taking our precautions I believe that we will get through this troubled process. Thankfully we weren’t too affected by this process. During all of the quarantine days, we had the opportunity to work continuously with the Aso channel with the permission of the governor. With the normalization process, we had the opportunity to respond to the demand by applying 24-hour shifts. We anticipate that demand will continue to increase in the next period.
Could you tell us a little about the export of ALMAŞ ALUMİNUM, which made its name known in a short time in the sector?
We are currently working with maximum capacity. We export 45% of our production to various countries. Among these countries, we sell products to especially in European Union countries (e.g. Hungary, Netherlands, England, Germany, France, Italy) and Middle East countries (e.g. Tunisia, Israel, Egypt, Libya).
Finally, are there any topics you would like to add?
All of our friends, who we think we will get support when starting this factory investment, turned their backs by seeing us as competitors. They tried to close our way, assuming that they could just produce aluminum by themselves. And what’s more, they said it would close 6 months after our factory was installed. We continue on our way at full capacity. This aluminum market is enough for them and enough for us, and enough for all the entrepreneurial friends who are starting out. First of all, let’s do the competition not by hitting under the waist, but by competing in service and quality.
