New schedule agreed for the leading world trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun protection systems / Impetus comes from the exhibitors
In October 2018, the Trade Fair Advisory Board of R+T in Stuttgart met to analyse the results of the latest exhibitor and visitor survey. With 1,025 exhibitors and 65,603 specialist visitors from 149 countries, R+T was again able to report growth in comparison with the previous event. The exhibitors gave R+T 2018 a good rating (average rating 1.9), which is almost precisely reflected in the visitor survey (average rating 1.8). With the analysis of the visitor structure and sequence of days, a clear trend became apparent: The specialist visitors prefer to attend the trade fair on week days. Together with the Trade Fair Advisory Board, the project management team under Sebastian Schmid, Head of Technology Trade Fairs at Messe Stuttgart, have therefore decided to change the trade fair schedule to the week days from Monday to Friday (22 – 26 February 2021). Schmid: “We plan our event for and with the sector. The Trade Fair Advisory Board, consisting of the promotional and technical supporters the Federal Association for Manufacturers of Roller Shutters and Sun Protection Systems, the BVT (National Federation of Door and Gate Manufacturers), and the Industrial Association for Technical Textiles, Roller Shutters and Sun Protection, as well as leading manufacturers, approached us with a recommendation, which we are now following. With the elimination of the weekend day and the rescheduling of the event to begin on a Monday, we hope to achieve an increase and at the same time even better distribution of the trade fair attendance.” The basis for this decision was an exhibitor survey that was carried out in July 2018 among all the exhibitors.
The Trade Fair Advisory Board welcomes this decision and is looking positively to the next R+T in Stuttgart, which will thus take place from Monday, 22 February, to Friday, 26 February 2021 at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre.

1027 exhibitors (2015: 888) from all corners of the world presented their products and services in Stuttgart in 2018, 774 from abroad. The 65,603 visitors (2015: 59,057) also came from around the world, from 149 countries. In total, 38,706 visitors came from abroad (2015: 59.057). They spent an average of 2.1 days (2015: 2 days) discovering the innovations and trends at R+T in detail.
