R+T into the anniversary year with strong demand
Around 650 companies are registering early for 2027 / R+T Asia celebrating its 20th anniversary
A strong signal for R+T, the world’s leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun shading systems: around 650 companies from all over the world have already registered to take part in R+T 2027 in Stuttgart just under two years before the start of the event. The foundations for a successful trade fair have been laid with around 78 per cent of hall space and more than 56,000 square metres of occupied space. The high early booker rate underlines the importance of R+T as the world’s leading platform for roller shutters, doors/gates and sun shading systems.
Sebastian Schmid, Vice President of Messe Stuttgart, regards the figures as confirmation: “The great response shows that the industry regards R+T as more than just a trade fair – it is an international platform, an innovation driver and a pacemaker for key future topics such as serial construction, energy-efficient products and smart home technologies. I am fascinated to see how closely the industry is working together in finding solutions to combat climate change – and that it is constantly placing its trust in R+T.”
R+T 2027 will again feature a varied accompanying programme which will examine these future topics during talks, providing the opportunity for technical discussions and the promotion of young people – for example in a student competition in the area of architecture. ARCHIKON, Regional Congress for Architecture and Urban Development, will also be staged concurrently with the trade fair.
The year 2025 is building a bridge between future and tradition: R+T is celebrating its 60th anniversary – a milestone which impressively underlines the development of the trade fair into a leading international industry platform. What began back at the former Killesberg trade fair centre in the city in 1965 as “R 65” has become the world’s leading event with an international trade fair alliance, i.e. the R+T Alliance.
2025 also marks an important date within this trade fair alliance: R+T Asia, which started in Guangzhou in 2005, will celebrate its 20th anniversary at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from 28 to 30 May 2025. Over the last two decades, R+T Asia has become the leading trade fair for sun shading systems and door/gate systems in the Asian-Pacific region.
R+T 2027 will be held at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center from 15 to 19 February 2027.
